The ROSE Group is founded
The Rose Group was founded in 1949 in St Goueno (22) in France by M. Lucien Rose, the father of the current CEO M. Michel Rose.
1995
Creation of PROTAC
PROTAC was founded in 1995 in Lamballe (22) in France and was the result of the diversification of the Rose Group’s historic activity. PROTAC was created to cater to a permanent will to control the quality of the timber used by the Group.
2007
Creation of a finishing plant
2007 saw the creation of a timber product paint finish plant and was a turning point in PROTAC’s strategy.
2011
Acquisition of BOI (Bois Ouest Industrie)
Inclusion of batten moulding products in the Protac line.
2012
Creation of a new paint line
In 2012, to guarantee its continued growth, PROTAC launched a second paint line (one of the most modern in Europe) and a logistics platform.
2013
Acquisition of Puidukoda
PROTAC has also gone international and has become closer to its source of raw materials by purchasing a planing mill in Estonia: Puidukoda
2016
New paint line
Creation of a new paint line to replace the historic line.
2017
Planing lines
Modernisation of the 3 planing lines by the purchase of ultra-modern units
2019
Mechanised and robotised press
Waste by-product recycling with the creation of a fully mechanised and robotised chip press.
